Chemical Engineering Personal Statement

I have made extensive corrections to the second of your drafts, shortening it considerably in the process. But you will note that you need to insert a short new paragraph that gives examples of topic areas you particularly enjoy, and - preferably - evidence of at least one practical engineering-related project. Alternatively you could explain why you are choosing CHEMICAL Engineering rather than other branches of Engineering.

I have explained all this on your Personal Statement - good luck with the application.

Chemical Engineering Personal Statement

As it stood, it was far too short. I have comprehensively revised it, adding important phrases and sentences (including a conclusion), changing the order round, and correcting the grammar. I have deleted the mysterious reference to 4(c) and 5(b). It contains no specific information that is subject-related. I have indicated where you need to insert this. You must identify specific areas of subject interest, particularly in Physics and Chemistry. Evidence of project assignments completed is essential too. You must also explain why you have opted for the Chemical branch of Engineering rather than any of the others. I have left it in but I don't associate chemical engineering with finding cures for diseases or combating hunger. If there is a link, you will need to spell it out. If not, I suggest you choose better and more relevant examples. I assume you are applying only to Nottingham? If there are other universities to which you are applying then you cannot refer specifically to Nottingham in the PS. I hope this is helpful. Good luck with it all.
