IB Predicted grades on UCAS

JojoBon asks:

Hi,

I have been predicted straight 7s for my six subjects at IB. It is the first time for my teacher to fill out a UCAS form so she doesn't know all the bolts and nuts... She and I were wondering whether I would need predicted grades for ToK and Extended Essay as well or is it ok to give the prediction as a range (i.e. 42 - 45) rather than a set number...

Thanks a lot.

etutor answers:

You must be top class, with straight 7s predicted! The normal procedure is indeed often to produce a (narrow) range for the prediction, and then to make sure that your Teacher's Reference highlights your likely ToK and Extended Essay performance if these are likely to be particularly good. If, however, your teacher is pretty confident about a score of 45, then simply enter that!

I hope this is helpful.
